The Seed in Your Pocket
Whatever you’re gripping today—money, pride, a plan—let it fall. The soil of God’s purpose is richer than the lining of your pocket.

"Unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." — John 12:24 (NIV)
We often treat our dreams, talents, and resources like loose change—clutching them in our pockets just in case. Jesus calls us to do the opposite: plant the seed.
Plant the savings you’re afraid to give, the apology you rehearse but never speak, the song you sing only in the shower. Seeds only multiply when they’re surrendered to soil.Three truths about the seed in your pocket:
- It must be buried to be blessed.
Burying feels like losing; God calls it germinating. The dark place is the first step toward harvest. - It grows in silence, not spotlight.
Roots develop underground long before the sprout breaks the surface. Trust the quiet work. - It produces more than it cost.
One seed yields thirty, sixty, a hundredfold. Your act of surrender today feeds generations tomorrow.
Whatever you’re gripping today—money, pride, a plan—let it fall. The soil of God’s purpose is richer than the lining of your pocket.
Pray:
Father, help me release the seed in my hand so You can release the harvest in my heart. I surrender my small to make room for Your great. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🌱
