The Power of Persistent Prayer

"Keep on asking, and it will be given to you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." — Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
Have you ever felt like your prayers were going unanswered?
Maybe you've been praying for a breakthrough in your health, relationships, or finances, but nothing seems to change.
It's easy to grow discouraged, to wonder if God is listening, or if your prayers even matter. But Jesus gives us a powerful promise in Matthew 7:7. He doesn't say, "Ask once and give up." He says, "Keep on asking... keep on seeking... keep on knocking."
Persistent prayer isn't about begging God to change His mind—it's about aligning our hearts with His will and demonstrating our faith through perseverance.
Think about the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18. She kept coming to the unjust judge, day after day, until he finally granted her request.
How much more will our loving Father respond to His children who cry out to Him day and night?
Persistent prayer does three things in us:
- It deepens our relationship with God – As we spend time in prayer, we grow closer to Him and learn to recognize His voice.
- It transforms our hearts – Sometimes God delays His answer because He's working on our character, teaching us patience, trust, and dependence on Him.
- It invites God's power – When we refuse to give up, we position ourselves to receive God's best, not just His quick fixes.
Today, don't let discouragement silence your prayers. Keep asking with faith. Keep seeking with expectation. Keep knocking with determination. Your breakthrough may be just one prayer away.
Pray: Father, I thank You that You hear every prayer I pray. Give me the strength to persevere in prayer, even when I don't see immediate results. Help me trust Your timing and Your perfect plan. I choose to keep asking, seeking, and knocking until You open the door. In Jesus' name, Amen. ❤️🙏🏻
Believe: Believe that God is working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it. Your persistent prayers are not wasted—they're paving the way for God's answer.
Receive: Receive fresh strength to continue praying.
The Holy Spirit will help you persevere, interceding for you according to God's perfect will.
Pray. Believe. Receive. — Where faith becomes your lifestyle.
