The Pause That Refreshes the Soul

Pausing isn’t about productivity; it’s about presence. It’s about stepping out of the noise and into the quiet where God resides.

In a world that never stops, it’s easy to forget the power of pausing. We rush from one task to the next, one worry to the next, rarely taking a moment to be still. Yet, Psalm 46:10 invites us to do just that: pause and know.

Pausing isn’t about productivity; it’s about presence. It’s about stepping out of the noise and into the quiet where God resides. When we pause, we create space for His voice to be heard, His peace to settle, and His presence to be felt.Three ways to pause and refresh your soul:

  1. Take a Breath
Literally. Stop what you’re doing and take a deep breath. Feel the air fill your lungs and then slowly release it. This simple act can reset your entire day.
  2. Spend Time in Silence
Find a quiet place, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Turn off your phone, close your eyes, and listen. You might be surprised by what you hear—or don’t hear.
  3. Reflect on a Verse
Choose a Bible verse that speaks to you and meditate on it. Write it down, say it out loud, or simply think about it. Let the words sink in and transform your heart.

Pray:
Father, help me to pause and know that You are God. In the midst of my busy days, give me the wisdom to recognize when I need to stop and rest in Your presence. Amen. 🌿🙏

Believe:
Believe that pausing is not a waste of time but a necessary act of faith.

Receive:
Receive the refreshment that comes from being still and knowing He is God.

Pray. Believe. Receive.
Where stillness becomes strength.
