The Lord is My Shepherd

Scripture:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." – Psalm 23:1 (KJV)
Devotional Thought:
Psalm 23:1 is one of the most comforting verses in Scripture, offering a picture of God’s loving care for His people. As our Shepherd, the Lord provides for our needs, protects us, and leads us along the right paths. When we trust Him, we can live with the confidence that we lack nothing, because He is enough.
This verse reminds us to depend on God for provision, guidance, and peace. A shepherd knows his sheep intimately, caring for them and ensuring they are safe. In the same way, God knows exactly what we need and is always with us, watching over every detail of our lives.
Today, rest in the assurance that God, your Shepherd, is providing for you. Whatever you’re facing, trust that He is guiding you and will supply everything you need in His perfect way.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd and for providing for all my needs. Help me to trust You in every season of life, knowing that You lead me with love and care. Let me find peace in Your presence and confidence in Your provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Take a moment to reflect on an area of your life where you feel a need or a lack. Surrender it to God today, trusting Him to provide as your Shepherd.
