Remembering the Source of Your Blessings
"But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." – Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)

Scripture:
"But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." – Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
It’s easy to take credit for our success, believing that our hard work and skills alone have brought us where we are. But Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that every ability, opportunity, and blessing comes from God. He is the one who gives us the strength, wisdom, and resources to succeed—not just for our own benefit, but to fulfill His purposes.
God desires that we use the gifts He has given us wisely, honoring Him with our work, finances, and influence. When we recognize Him as the source, we remain humble, grateful, and generous. Wealth and success are not the ultimate goals—walking in obedience and stewardship is.
Today, take time to acknowledge God as the giver of every good thing in your life. Trust in Him as your provider and seek His wisdom in how to use the resources He has entrusted to you.
Prayer:
Lord, I acknowledge that everything I have comes from You. Thank You for giving me the ability to work, create, and grow. Help me to remain humble and to use the blessings You provide for Your glory. Teach me to be a faithful steward of all You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Spend a moment reflecting on the blessings in your life—your job, skills, or opportunities. Take time to thank God for them, and ask Him to guide you in using them wisely and generously.
