Faith That Moves Mountains

Faith That Moves Mountains
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." – Matthew 17:20

Scripture:
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." – Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

Devotional Thought:
Faith is a powerful force. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus tells us that even faith as small as a mustard seed has the ability to move mountains. This means that it’s not the size of our faith that matters, but the power of the One we place our faith in.

Mountains represent obstacles—challenges, fears, or situations that seem impossible to overcome. But Jesus assures us that when we trust in Him completely, those mountains will move. It may not always happen instantly or in the way we expect, but through faith, God is always working on our behalf.

If you’re facing a mountain today, don’t focus on its size. Instead, focus on the size of your God. Trust Him, take a step in faith, and watch Him do the impossible in your life.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of faith. Help me to trust in You, even when my challenges feel overwhelming. Strengthen my faith so that I may see Your power at work in my life. I believe that with You, nothing is impossible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step:
Identify a "mountain" in your life—something that seems impossible right now. Speak in faith over that situation today, trusting that God is working behind the scenes to move it in His perfect time.
